    EURoadTrip2018 – Modena to Innsbruck

At the risk of sounding melodramatic, no emotional PDA’s (public display of affection) allowed in our house. So I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate my wonderful wife on our 23rd anniversary (not counting, but confirming). Thanks for you loving support, it’s been real. Enjoy Bali! The first, and only, compromise of the trip. We had planned to return via Stelvio Pass, but chose to rather take in Pagni, Lamborghini & Enzo Ferrari Museums in Modena, take a more direct route back to Mattighofen and enjoy lunch with the Boss and bend her ear with our war stories. Craziest day on the road to date, in the rain, most people &…

    EURoadTrip2018 – World Ducati Week

Blast from the past, great memories of WDW2002 come rushing back. 790 Duke stood their ground in a sea of red, loud & proud and very well received! Kudos to Ducati for allowing us into their domain! (I remember being upset about the non Ducati’s in the parking lot previously, I now have some sympathy for their situation!) Great to see the Ducati Brand growing from strength to strength, even Jorge made an appearance. Still a long way to travel with much to see and do, so we hit the road early. Popped into Pagani, Lamborghini & Enzo Ferrari Museums, decided to overnight in Modena. Mind blowing dinner!!! In desperate need of a…

    Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile Di Torino

And that, my friends, concludes our Italian Automotive Cultural Roadtrip and EICMA 2017. If fuel runs through your veins, then a stop at the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile Di Torino, covering the evolution of Car and its components is a must see. And Turin ain’t too bad either… Hope you enjoyed the journey as much as I did!

    Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile – Gallery

Last day in Italy, quick stop at the National Museum of The Automobile in Turin, covering the evolution of the Automobile. Established in 1932 and refurbed in 2011, by far the best Museum yet, with endless interactive displays and staged period themes to great effect. Well worth the visit.

    MV Agusta Factory Tour

The GPS warned me that the Moto Guzzi Museum only opens at 15:00, so I rerouted to MV Agusta assuming the Museum would be at the same location. Well its not. And its closed until Saturday. A blessing in disguise!!! Upon arrival at MV, I presented myself to security and whispered the password “factory tour”, not expecting much as I had not made a booking. “Uno momento” (with finger in the air) came the response as security made a quick call… and ten minutes later i had my own personal factory tour guide. Unfortunately photos are “not permitted” in the pre-production, parts bin (“supermarket”) & single line production assembly plant, but are allowed…
