    2019 Jaguar Simola HillClimb

4th #JaguarSGC done and dusted. Still reeling from last years frantic experience, once again left everything to the last minute. Only managed to swap out cylinder head on Monday, rewired (more or less) the dashboard, fitted seats, rechromed lights & surrounds, before realizing the license had expired… Special word of gratitude and respect to my first wife, always by my side, navigating the challenges I drop in front of her, albeit understandably not always without complaint. Thanks for noticing and renewing license before leaving for knysna! #manofthematch Thanks Nik Pels for last minute stickers and master magician Wynando Adeleo Donaggi for grace under pressure and an excellent job as always, despite his own…

    EURoadTrip2018 – World Ducati Week

Blast from the past, great memories of WDW2002 come rushing back. 790 Duke stood their ground in a sea of red, loud & proud and very well received! Kudos to Ducati for allowing us into their domain! (I remember being upset about the non Ducati’s in the parking lot previously, I now have some sympathy for their situation!) Great to see the Ducati Brand growing from strength to strength, even Jorge made an appearance. Still a long way to travel with much to see and do, so we hit the road early. Popped into Pagani, Lamborghini & Enzo Ferrari Museums, decided to overnight in Modena. Mind blowing dinner!!! In desperate need of a…

    EURoadTrip2018 – Lenny in Lucca

Left Saint Raphael for Lucca, via Nice & Monaco. Taking an hour to cover 14kms, we popped back onto the Autostrada to cover some distance quickly. Probably the fastest we have ridden on this trip so far, helps stay awake in the blistering heat. Bikes buzzing everywhere. Lovely to see. Emotions running high as I take the beautiful surroundings, contemplating the highs & lows as the trip draws to a close. Find myself grinning, in my helmet. Again. Gratefully privileged, would be an understatement. But wait! There’s more. Arrive at the ‘Villa’ in Lucca, with no expectations whatsoever. I’ll let the pictures do the talking here… “A Good Year” Refreshing swim, late afternoon…

EURoadTrip2018 – Goodwood Festival of Speed

Last night I caught myself grinning like a teenager again, as I reflected on the weekends events. Kevin Anderson playing in the Wimbledon final, Brad Binder taking his first Moto2 victory and my very own travel buddy eclipsing 8 other Aston Martin VIP’s, from around the world, for the prized pillion seat in the Vulcan up the Hill at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Words escape me. What a day! Another first, overnight Ferry to France, let the roadtrip continue!!!
